Dearest readers,
I must admit, in this episode of the student council meeting, there is no noteworthy gossip to share. Worry not, for I bring news nonetheless—a collection of delightful updates from every corner of our esteemed department!
Yet Another Headline For You, Activities Chairpersons
Ah, the Activities Department, ever bustling with passion. This year, they aim high—reaching for the stars, as it were (mind you, I speak of stars, not moons, for astronomical accuracy, of course). With the announcement of the Waterbomb Festival date, student enthusiasm has soared to new heights. Who doesn’t like a good party at the end of the semester, right? Prepare yourself for countless mouth-watering food temptations, a lineup of stellar performances, and the summertime of your university life! Lastly, don’t tell anyone you hear this from me, but know they are taking Monash Ball seriously this year *wink wink*.
Keeping Up With The MUISS Department
After utter silence for almost a month, MUISS burst back onto the scene with a fashionably late Holi Celebration! As a long-awaited event, the signup forms were filled quickly, making it a total blast. Despite the success, the way everyone, including our beloved Mr President, has nothing to say about MUISS’ MIA made us think of the unthinkable. Well, at the end of the day, there is nothing much to keep up with, but the tea was overthinkable!
Something’s Brewing …
Amidst the long-standing vacancy at Lepak Place, a notable coffee establishment has staked its claim. Join me in extending a warm welcome to ZUS Coffee, the latest culinary addition to our campus landscape! Keep your eyes peeled, for their brews may soon be at your fingertips.
The Great War (In The Library)
As students settle into the revamped library, a minor issue arises. The battle to declare a place in one of the comfy nooks at Level 1 has grown fierce, with some resorting to seat-hogging tactics. Fear not, for Student Life endeavours to broker peace with the aid of MUSA.
A Public Announcement!
Gossip-deprived, this article has shifted its function to a pamphlet write-up you often see on the school board. To the usual student lounge-goers, please note that the Student Lounge shall be reserved from 6 pm to 10 pm during Weeks 8 and 9 for Monash Cup Try-outs. So, heads up for clubs, societies, and other organisations: booking for Student Lounge will only be available from Week 9 onwards. The Welfare Officers have also successfully revived the broken complimentary amenities, including the Jenga, mini chess board, and Scramble. Additionally, to fellow pool players, the welfare officers are putting their best efforts into fixing the broken pool tables.
A Matching Attribute: Here Come The Merchandise Line!
I am delighted to tell you that the highly anticipated MUM’s merchandise for Semester 1 2024 has begun its pre-production and production on Week 6 until the meantime. The merchandise line, brought by the Publicity Officers, will feature a hoodie, a black t-shirt, a white t-shirt, a limited edition lanyard, and a sticker pack. Stay tuned to MUSA’s official Instagram page for the upcoming merchandise reveal!
More Than Just Free Coverage
Last, but not least, I am here to deliver a message from my fellow colleagues regarding the Event Coverage by MONGA. We want to remind you to submit the form as early as possible and READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS THOROUGHLY to prevent misunderstandings between both parties. Finally, please remember to be respectful to our officers, as they are just trying their best to accommodate your complaints! Despite that, remember that we are always happy to do an Event Coverage for you, XOXO!
As we reach the end of today’s “gossip” paper, we hope MUSA can maintain a drama-free environment and good work. After all, it is calm without the storm, hopefully.
Until our paths cross once more, I bid you adieu!
