Hi, Monash Siders,
The Editors here!
Guess what? Your favourite student council drama just got renewed for another season! As the new term kicks off, we’ve got all the juicy details and whispers from every department. So sit back and prepare yourself because there is nothing more intriguing than a cup of tea served hot!
The End of an Era?
As we enter the second semester, the current council members’ terms end. Therefore, it’s that time of year! Brimming with nervousness and anticipation, the general secretary has made the first draft of the election blueprint, and a returning office has been chosen. However, it was disappointing that the blueprint was incomplete as your favourite department *ehm ehm* The Editors, also known as the functioning body, is nowhere to be found in the document. Unfortunately, the motion can’t be passed after a bit of chitter-chatter from both our beloved President and General Secretary.
Been a Nasty Girl? Or People?
Our dearest members might take the nasty trend too seriously as there have been reports about office hygiene. To resolve these complaints, our President has dropped the ultimatum of keeping the office clean for our sakes and suggested an office cleaning session with all the office bearers.
Early Departures: Perhaps Too Early
Saddening news came from the School Representatives Department and the Publicity Department, as one office bearer has left their departments, respectively. The male representative of the School of Business, Reshad Humardhani, and the Publicity Officer, Michelle Alisa, ended their term early, perhaps TOO early, as they bid their adieu from the student association. As we don’t know what they concealed behind the abrupt withdrawal, it is safe to assume it is because of personal reasons.
We (Literally) Ball!
With sorrow comes joy as well. Exciting news came from (again) the Activity Chairpersons: They have secured Mandarin Oriental’s hall for this year’s most exhilarating event, The Monash Ball! Let’s wish them the best of luck as they try to cook the most grand soiree of all time here at Monash University Malaysia!
Not So Proud of Pride
A small mistake caused quite a stir. As Pride Month passed, a celebratory post from the Welfare Officers was absent, raising heads and questions from many parties. However, they clarified themselves by admitting their forgetfulness and that it was an honest mistake. A good save, I would say!
That’s all we have in our hands, ‘til next month!
XOXO, The Editors!
