Appointment of C&S Interims
The final MSC of the year kicked off with the appointment of the Head of C&S Interims for the year 2024, with two teams vying for the position: Phoebe Lim & Kirara Otawara (Team 1) and Ho Xin Yi & Shekinah Shanmuganathan (Team 2). Both teams prepared unique and ambitious visions for the future of C&S, with their presentation slides available (LINK HERE) for those who were unable to attend the livestream of the MSC. MSC quickly convened to put the motion up to vote with Team 1 attaining 9 “FORS” from the council members effectively appointing them as C&S Interims for the year 2024.
MIMA
For the international students who are looking forward to receiving their annual copy of the MIMA magazine, the 2023 drafts have been sent out to publishers, while the digital copy will be published on the 31st of December whereas physical copies are to be sold for RM15/magazine and distributed to students early in the first semester of 2024.
Academic Subsidy & Goodbye 2023
The welfare department once again pulls through for the end of the year as they open up the semester 2 academic subsidy for students who are looking to receive a partial subsidy on academic material which have been purchased during the 2nd semester or October semester of 2023. And as a final farewell, their final event of the year: “Goodbye 2023” will be held on their official Instagram: @musa.cares, at the beginning of next week.
MONGA!
As most departments wrap up their loose ends for the year, our department is still very much up and running as we have completed the final design of this year’s magazine, which we can proudly say has been sent to our publisher. Due to certain circumstances, we have had to sacrifice 3 copies, bringing down the total number of copies from 200 to 197, however this has allowed the magazine to be delivered to us by the 20th of December, ready and primed for distribution by the beginning of the year, so do look out for our Google form for those who would like to obtain their FREE copy of the 2023 MONGA magazine. A small reminder to all students that although the physical copy of the magazine is free, there are limited copies available so we do distribute them on a first come first serve basis!
Conclusion
Thankfully, this concludes the very final MUSA DID WHAT of my 2-year tenure. For all the students who have been reading these articles, whether you saw it from our Instagram or because you wanted to catch up on some drama, all of you are greatly appreciated and I will miss spilling the tea to you all monthly, however, fret not as MUSA DID WHAT will be in safe hands next year as the 2024 Editors step into their role.
