With the start of a new semester, new and returning students get to embrace the eventful C&S week hosted by MUSA to find out where they belong, what clubs or societies they should join, and what new interests they can delve into?
Spanning three days, clubs and societies set up booths and interact with new and existing students and show what Monash has got to offer to their student life. Filled with fun performances every now and then, the porch area and foyer haven’t seen this much energy in a good while. With performances from the Monash Christian Fellowship, Music Club, Street Dance Society, Cheerleading Club, Dance Fusion Club, and the Chamber Orchestra, it was hard to miss and everybody enjoyed them to the fullest.
A rather exciting and thrilling atmosphere to be in. With the many booths set up containing pops of colour here and there with conversations scattered everywhere around the foyer, it was an inspiring experience to see how each booth presented itself, drawing in students every now and then. I was fortunate enough to watch the dance performance by the Street Dance Society which completely left me at awe with my jaw dropped! As I left to head to my classes, the other performances that continued could be heard from building 6 and I must say we have a bunch of talented people at Monash!
Monash has tons of clubs and societies to join into, from hobbies like boardgaming and chess to sports like dodgeball and table tennis, Monash has got it all and there is no doubt you could find a place that you belong to and maybe make some new friends along the way.
As we get used to new classes, subjects, and making new friends, it is important to remember what you love to do, may it be a sport, a hobby, or just something you enjoy doing in your free time. So don’t forget to join any clubs or just take a breather every now and then to do what you love!
